Welcome to the Glitzy Goose!  I’m a mom, wife, teacher, coach, and Disney fanatic and this is a space to share my passions.  Life is messy and that’s okay.

Who am I?

At some point in my career, I learned that it’s important for a speaker to establish credibility to its audience.  Well, this isn’t quite speaking, but I think it’s important for you to know a little bit about me so you can believe that I know what I’m talking about.  In short, I grew up in the far southwestern suburbs of Chicago, had an ideal childhood, and then went off to a Catholic college in Iowa.  After college, I started teaching, got married, and slowly started making my way back towards my hometown.  I started my masters degree but quit at the eleventh hour to start a family.  I currently teach and coach at my hometown high school (seriously hoping to be promoted to a full time mom soon) and am the mom of three beautiful children (ages 3, 2, and almost 5 months).  My husband is currently teaching at the same school that I started teaching at.  He is (and really I mean I AM) looking for an administrative position.  Did I mention my kids are 3, 2, and almost 5 months old???  Please think about that for a minute.  Seriously, my life is CRAZY, but I wouldn’t have it any way.
